where are we going?

I love watching folks at the airport. Whether they are leaving or returning, I find myself imagining where they might be going or where they might have been. The airport is a fascinating place where countless stories intersect, each traveler carrying a unique narrative of their journey.

I observe their body language as they move through the airport or wait for their suitcases. The waves goodbye, the running into someone's arms—I can't help but get tears in my eyes witnessing these heartfelt moments. These fleeting interactions are filled with such raw emotion and human connection.

This series, titled "Where Are We Going?", captures these transient moments. Through my paintings, I explore the stories of these travelers, imagining their destinations and the experiences that shape their lives. Each piece in this series reflects the universal experiences of movement, change, and anticipation, seen through the lens of transit and transformation.

I invite you to step into the shoes of these travelers, to feel the rush of departure, the uncertainty of waiting, and the joy of arrival. Let your imagination wander as you ponder the stories behind each traveler and the journeys that lie ahead.
